Janet McCrorie

Janet McCrorie is based in East Lothian, Scotland. She studied painting at the Open College of the Arts and Leith School of Art, with her professional life since revolving around teaching and creating art.

Janet is perhaps best known for her interpretations of Scottish dancers in mixed media. She creates these figures by pushing and pulling vibrant colours across the canvas, capturing the essence of the tartan patterns as they move around with the dancers.
