  • Can I order bespoke framing or purchase framed prints online?
Unfortunately we don't currently offer an online framing service or shipping on framed items.
  • What does "giclée" mean?
The word "giclée" is French, literally meaning "to spray"; it references a printing process which allows for high quality reproductions to be created from original artworks. High resolution copies are made (with the artists' permission) and printed through small inkjet spraying devices to precisely match colours and apply them to archival, acid-free paper. This creates a higher quality product that will last longer than a standard print.
  • What is a "limited edition" print?
When you see "limited edition" describing an art print, this means that the number of copies in circulation is restricted. This number is determined at the time of publication and once this number has been printed, no more copies will be produced. Limited edition prints will show their edition number (e.g. 1/195) and are usually signed and titled by the artist, with the potential to increase in value when the edition sells out.
  • What is an "open edition" print?
If a print is part of an "open edition", this means there is no limit to the number of copies the publisher can produce. Open edition prints can vary in quality but most use the giclée process and premium papers, although they are much less likely to increase in value than limited edition prints. Open edition prints are not numbered and are not usually signed by the artist.
